Rev. Chad Scruggs - Campus Minister

Chad and Jada are originally from Tennessee, and first met as college freshmen at the University of Tennessee.  After graduating from college, they remained at UT where Chad directed a local campus ministry for three years.  They then packed their bags and headed to St. Louis, MO, the home of Covenant Theological Seminary, where Chad worked hard to finish his Masters of Divinity and Jada worked harder as an event planner to put food on the table.  Ministering to college students has been a love of Chad and Jada for many years now, and both are excited about the opportunity that the Lord has now given them to serve students at SMU (since January 2007).  In April 2007, their family grew a little (about 7 pounds) with the birth of their first child, John Randall.  In June 2009, Charlie was born.  They are expecting their third child in January 2011.

Leslie Peacock - Women's Ministry Coordinator

Leslie is originally from Atlanta, Georgia where she got her fill of peaches, Braves games, and terrible traffic. She attended Furman University in Greenville, SC where she got a degree as a professional reader (English) then went on to serve as an RUF intern at Auburn University for 3 years. Leslie loved talking with college students about life and struggles and moved to St. Louis, MO to pursue a Masters in Counseling at Covenant Theological Seminary, which she completed in 2009. Since then she's been counseling children and women of all ages and is excited to return to the South(west) and work for RUF counseling college students and coordinating women's ministries at SMU. When she's not doing that, Leslie loves to cook, read, be outside, and watch Florida State football.

Creighton Dryden - Intern

Creighton hails from the capital of Texas, Austin, and up until college worked diligently to keep Austin normal.  Unfortunately, his Chevy Silverado wouldn't fit in parking places designed for a Subaru, so Creighton moved to Ft. Worth to don his favorite color, purple, with no questions asked.  While at TCU Creighton earned an undergraduate degree in history and the respect of all his professors and peers. Despite being only 23 years of age, Creighton was born in 1978 and is thoroughly a child of the 80s.  After finishing the RUF internship, Creighton hopes to be a landowner.

Grayson Baird - Intern

Grayson was born and raised in Macon, Georgia and loves to claim that she hails from the Peach state! Despite her love for Georgia, she packed her bags and moved to Mississippi for college. Grayson graduated in July 2010 from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Public Relations. She is excited and proud to be a Golden Eagle alumnus. Grayson boasts an intense love for grocery shopping, is highly entertained by ridiculous TV shows, and loves to play Ultimate Frisbee. In addition, she considers herself an expert thrift store shopper. Most recently she has moved to Dallas, where she looks forward to hanging out and discovering a love for the state of Texas!
